Watch Live
Eastern Europe 2013

I must start out by saying, please pray for our fellow believers in the Balkans! What an incredible journey we had the first two weeks of May (2013)!

Jane and I, accompanied by Don and Joyce Mahan, and Pastor Lee and Carla Shipp, had the privilege to minister in Serbia, Croatia, and Hungary. There we attended School of Christ sponsored meetings specifically set up to train disciples, and to strengthen and minister to the local church body. There was no doubt that the Lord used Pastor Lee to deliver a timely and annointed word to these churches.

Our Lord stated, “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life”. It was such a joy to literally see this happening during this trip.

Imagine ministering in one of the oldest cities in Europe, once a capital of the Roman Empire (Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia) and seeing at least 25 people filled with the Holy Spirit, while others are committing their hearts to the Lord and being set free from the shackles of this world.

We also saw the Holy Spirit move in such a deep, and powerful way while in Szekesfehervar, Hungary (Don’t even try to pronounce it). Prior to the meetings we experienced such a strong time of prayer, humility, and brokenness. As such, the Lord was faithful in meeting with us. We saw such an intense hunger for Christ, as believers were crying out to the Lord to know him in a deeper way. God truly is moving in Hungary and through his people in Budapest, and to be a part of this work is such a tremendous blessing!

I also had the opportunity to conduct several video interviews (for the School of Christ) in each country. It was incredible to hear how the School of Christ has affected so many lives:

I heard testimonies stating:

…”my prayer life has entered a new dimension”

…”I have a discipline I never had”

…”the introduction of the Holy Spirit in my life has altered my life and my preaching”

…”I have a newfound hunger and desire for His word”

It’s one thing to read about these testimonies, but to see people choking back the tears while sharing about God’s love, mercy, and grace in their lives, is quite another. Please continue to pray for our brothers and sisters in Hungary, Croatia, and Serbia. This truly is a gateway for the gospel into Central and Eastern Europe and we are so excited to be a small part of it.

For us, being able to travel alongside Pastor Lee and Carla this spring to Serbia and Croatia for the Pastor's & Leaders Conferences was not only an honor to us both, but it was a fulfilling boost to our vision for World Missions. That trip impacted our prayers for those countries and the people there in a wonderful life changing way. Life is never the same once you meet the people you have prayed for and supported from a distance.

Our own souls were filled with joy as we were able to pray and participate in the ministry that was taking place in.

We witnessed firsthand as pastors and leaders were broken and cried out to God in repentance and concern for themselves, their churches, cities, villages and countries, asking to be changed by the power of Jesus Christ, while at the same time, many of them received the empowering of the Holy Spirit themselves for the very first time.

Since returning home from that Missions experience, our hearts have been challenged in a strong way to pray for these countries in Europe, and the pastors and their people so much more than ever before.

Giving to World Missions has always been a big part of our lives as we greatly believe in the cause and effect of giving and missions. However when you can "GO" as well as give, this is where your faith comes alive.
